Upper centre sits Jupiter, King of the gods, from whose head Minerva has just been born.
To the left and right of him are Neptune, Mars, Apollo, Venus, Mercury and Diana (or Luna) who holds up the moon. The bearded figure lower right, larger in scale and apparently holding the whole group on his shoulders, is probably Atlas and in the lower left corner Vesta, goddess of Mother Nature, is shown sitting above Pluto, god of the Underworld. In the centre are Neptune and Juno, with a peacock at her feet, and upper left seated on a cloud are Ceres and Flora with two satyrs (possibly representing the Four Seasons).

The Capture Of A French Ship By Royal Family Privateers

This painting probably describes the action on 10th July 1745, when the Prince Frederick and the Duke, under the command of Commodore James Talbot, captured two French vessels, the Marquese d'Antin and the Louis Erasme.
The action was celebrated since the French ships had over one million pounds aboard. When the ships arrived to Bristol, the treasure was taken to London in 45 wagons, accompanied by an armed guard and preceded by a band.

Endemic New ZeaLand FlightLess Parrot: Kakapo

It is the only nocturnal parrot and also the heaviest in the world, weighing up to 3.5 kilograms (8 lbs). The kakapo is a unique parrot species because it can´t fly!
It’s probably the longest-lived bird species in the world; the low adult mortality rate suggests a life expectancy of 90 years

The arrival of Polynesian thousands of years ago, Europeans in the 1800's and the pets and livestock they introduced resulted in the massive decline of Kakapo populations from hundreds of thousands to just 62!
After 20-30 booms they then make a high-pitched metallic call, or ‘ching’.
