Mother

Mother my darling.
Mother my dear.
I love you, I love you.
Each day of the year.
You are so sweet.
And you are so kind.
That I am glad you are my mom.

A Poem by American Writer Bobbi Katz

  THE COMPU-MONSTER

HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE COMPU-MONSTER YET?
IT´S CRUISING THE INTERNET AROUND THE INTERNET,
INVISIBLY RACING FROM PLACE TO PLACE,
 CAUSING CHAOS IN CYBERSPACE.
 IT SLIPS AROUND AND MULTIPLIES,
   THEN C R A S H !
ONE MORE COMPUTER DIES,
AND NOBODY KNOWS
WHEN THE COMPU-MONSTER MIGHT
EAT UP THEIR SYSTEM

PanCake Day: March 4th, 2014

Ingredients
450 gr of flour
470 ml of milk
150 gr sugar
3 eggs
3 tea spoons of baking powder
Pancake Day in Great Britain happens on Shrove Tuesday, the day before the start of Lent
Originally, people went to church on this day to confess their sins.
The church bell would ring as a call for people to go shrivingwhich means confessing your sins.
Because you couldn´t eat milk and eggs during Lent, the purpose of Pancake Day was to use up this ingredients.
The legend says that races started in 1445 in a british town called Olney.
There a woman was making pancakes when she heard the church bells calling; she was in such a hurry that she forgot to put down her frying pan and ran all the way to church with it!
Now women of Olney follow the tradition and one rule is that they have to flip the pancake at least three times during the race.

Today in some towns the church bells ring on Shrove Tuesday so they remember to make pancakes!
Pancake Day is also celebrated in the USA in the town of Liberal, Kansas known for being “flat as a pancake”.
